Welcome to another round of Thank Bob, It’s Recipe Friday. I’ve been working hard on getting my blog out there, spring cleaning, and the usual day to days. This week has been super busy, I didn’t have a chance to fix, and photographer today’s recipes. However, rest easy because they are super simple, and scrumptious.
First up- Homemade Pop-tarts
What you need-
1/2 cup of your favorite fruit preserves ( or any feeling you choose. Nutella, pb&j, your own fruit mixture, anything you’d like.)
Pie crust or pastry dough ( I like Pillsbury pie crust. It comes in a box of 2, right by their rolls and biscuits.)
Cut dough into equal “pop tart” rectangles.
Spread a spoonful of preserves ( or filling of choice) onto one rectangle. Be sure not to take it all the way to the edge.
Wet finger and run along edge of dough, then place another piece on top and seal. *repeat until done*
Place on parchment lined baking sheet
Bake at 350 for 15mins or until golden brown.
Second- Breakfast Casserole
What you’ll need- (This is the amount I use to make mine, we always have left overs for dinner or breakfast the next morning, so feel free to change it up to meet your needs. As long as the ingredients placed inside are covered by egg…it’ll work.)
8 Large Eggs
16oz Bag of cheese
Brown your sausage and bacon (drain)
Crack eggs, add a dollop or two of sour cream and beat
Add half your cheese, all the sausage and bacon (crumbled or chopped.) into eggs.
Pour into greased pan, or muffin tin (if you do a tin, then place meat and cheese inside then pour egg over.)
Sprinkle cheese over top
Bake at 350 for 30mins to 45mins
